Commencement To Be Held Sunday, May 16

Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends will be on hand Sunday, May 16 at noon, as Alfred State College honors its 99th graduating class. Commencement exercises are scheduled to be held at McLane Center on neighboring Alfred University campus. Graduates will need to use the tickets in their graduation packets for their families’ admission. Read Article

ASC Receives $50,000 Gift

Alfred State College has received a gift of $50,000 from Laverne (’56) and Mary Lou Billings of Boynton Beach, FL, to support equipment purchases for the heavy equipment operations program. Read Article

ASC Reclaims Title at National BUV Competition

The Alfred State College BUV (basic utility vehicle) team returned to prominence by winning first place in the Main Division of the 10th Annual National Basic Utility Vehicle Competition in Indianapolis, IN. Read Article

First Meet First Win

The Alfred State Pioneer Woodsmen’s Club put on an excellent showing at their first meet. The Jack and Jill team came in first in their division beating out SUNY Cobleskill and Penn State University. The men’s team did well in many of the individual events. Read Article
