Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends were on hand Sunday, May 16, as Alfred State College honored its 99th graduating class. Presiding over the ceremony, which was held at McLane Center on neighboring Alfred University’s campus, was Dr. John M. Anderson, college president.

Students and faculty of Alfred State College are working closely with Atlantic Richfield (AR), a BP-affiliated company, to design and install a solar-powered telemetry system to monitor water levels at a wetland treatment system created by AR at a former Sinclair Refinery in Wellsville.

Thanks to the generosity of Alfred State alumnus Bret Llewellyn, Buffalo, marketing, class of 1980, there is a beautiful new art gallery on campus. The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Building on the Alfred campus, was dedicated recently during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
