Monroe CC scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th to erase a one-run deficit and win 8-7 over Alfred State in a Region III Division II Tournament contest. With the loss the Pioneers season comes to an end with a 23-15-1 record while the Tribunes are one win from the Regional title.

The Mercyhurst North East baseball team scored three runs in the top of the 9th inning to rally for a 4-3 victory over Alfred State in a Region III Division II Tournament contest. The Pioneers fall to 23-14-1 on the year and will now face a must win contest versus #1 seed Monroe CC on Saturday afternoon beginning at Noon.

Corning CC got strong pitching performances as they held Alfred State to just one hit in a Region III softball doubleheader sweep, 11-0 & 9-0, on Thursday afternoon. CCC improves to 21-8 overall and 19-5 in Region III Division III contests while the Lady Pioneers fall to 8-26.

The Alfred State College lacrosse team started slow and never could recover as they fell 19-7 to Hudson Valley CC in a Region III Tournament 1st round match-up played in Troy, NY on Tuesday afternoon. ASC finishes the season 8-6 while HVCC advances the semi-finals to take on the winner of #2 Onondaga CC and #7 Jefferson CC.
