Alfred State Expands its Renewable Energy Portfolio with New Wind Turbine

The newest member of Alfred State’s growing renewable energy family is currently catching the breeze above campus—a 100 kilowatt grid-tied wind turbine that will offset some of the college’s electricity usage. Alfred State is proud to announce the kickoff of a new Bachelor of Architecture program by its Department of Architecture and Design this fall. On August 14, 2013, WETD 90.7 FM moved their Main Studio to Alfred State's new $33 million Student Leadership Center after submitting a letter of notification to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Read Article

Packard Selected to Participate in AP Program Reading for 11th Consecutive Year

Dr. Earl Packard, a Hornell native and professor in the Alfred State Mathematics and Physics Department, was selected to participate in the College Board’s Annual AP Reading in calculus again this summer—it will be his 11th time serving in this capacity. Read Article
