Bensley One of 18 Selected Nationwide for Workshop

Physical and Health Sciences Department was one of 18 people nationwide who was recently selected to attend the Nucleic Acid Chemistry workshop at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. This workshop is a part of the National Science Foundation-sponsored Chemistry Collaborations, Workshops and Communities of Scholars (cCWCS) program. Read Article

Alfred State Becomes Partner in CeCet

Alfred State is pleased to announce its partnership to become a part of the Center for Evaluation of Clean Energy Technology (CeCeT) that is implementing a photovoltaic (PV) and wind equipment test facility. The new PV and wind test centers will operate as the core of CeCeT’s network of renewable energy resources. Read Article

Recognized at the college’s employee recognition banquet were: Dr. Melvin Chambliss of Alfred Station, NY; Deborah Claire of Arkport, NY; Mark Payne of Canisteo, NY; Charlene McGregor of Canisteo, NY; and Lieutenant Scott Bingham. Each received a certificate and a monetary gift. Read Article

New Member of UP Sworn in at Alfred State

Corwin Mackney of Andover, NY, joined the ranks of the University Police at Alfred State at a ceremony on Monday, May 14, 2012. Dr. John Anderson, president of Alfred State, officially swore him into service. Read Article
