Men's Soccer defeats Jefferson CC

Alfred State scored twice in the first three minutes as they took control of the contest en route to a 5-0 victory over Jefferson CC.  The Pioneers, ranked #13 in Division III of the NJCAA, have now won four straight and improve to 5-1 on the season while the Cannoneers fall to 0-4. Read Article

After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, Jefferson CC scored four unanswered goals en route to a 4-2 victory in a Region III Division III match-up played on ASC's new field on campus.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-2 on the season while JCC is now 4-0 on the season. Read Article

The #13 ranked Alfred State College men's soccer team won their 3rd straight contest on Thursday afternoon by defeating #12 Finger Lakes CC 3-2.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 4-1 while the Lakers suffer their first defeat and fall to 4-1. Read Article

After a quick 3-1 start the men's soccer team has earned the #13 ranking in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the regular season.  The Pioneers have outscored opponents 14 to 9 on the season and 11 to 5 in their last two victories. Read Article

The Alfred State College volleyball team is ranked #7 in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the 2008.  The Lady Pioneers are currently 5-0 after winning the Mohawk Valley CC Tournament last Saturday. Read Article

Lady Pioneers suffer first defeat

Tompkins Cortland CC scored three goals in the final 16 minutes of the contest to down Alfred State 4-1 in a Region III Division III match-up played under the lights in Dryden.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-1 on the year while TCCC improves to 2-3. Read Article

Hewitt Signs with Toronto

Former Alfred State College and University of Arkansas football player Matt Hewitt (Englewood, NJ) has signed a contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.  Hewitt was one of nine players signed by the team today. Read Article
