Timberframe Structure Placed on Applied Technology Campus

Alfred State College students enrolled in the building construction program were on hand recently to watch as LC Whitford, Wellsville, lent a hand (or rather, a highlift forklift) in placing a timberframe structure at the entrance of the Electrical Building on the Applied Technology Campus, Wellsville.  Read Article

Reynolds Named All-American

Alfred State College sophomore Dan Reynolds earned 1st team All-American status by winning the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University.  Reynolds becomes just the second Pioneer during Coach Gary Moore's tenure to win an indoor title (Damien Rodriquez - 1997 in the pole vault). Pioneer Swimmers Finish 7th

The Alfred State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place.  The blue and gold racked up 193 points.  Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion. Read Article

Reynolds Wins National Championship, Gross finishes 4th

Alfred State College sophomore Dan Reynolds won the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University.  Freshman David Gross (Brockport) also scored points for the Pioneers with a 4th place finish in the shot put. Read Article

Hinkle Memorial Library Gallery to Host 12 Artists

Alfred State College's Hinkle Memorial Library Gallery will host 12 local women artists, originally from Germany; Northfield, IL; Lower Merion, PA; Bala Cynwyd, PA; Arkport; Charlotte, NC; Tennessee, Ohio, and other areas of the United States, who have converged in the Southern Tier and call it home. ASC Drama Club to Present Picasso at the Lapin Agile

Alfred State College's student drama club will present the play Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by Steve Martin, Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m. (a dinner performance at the Lake Lodge), Saturday, April 4, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 5, at 2:30 p.m. at the Orvis Activities Center Auditorium.  Admission to the play is $3 for ASC and AU students and senior citizens; $5 for the general public.
