Lady Pioneers Join Pink Zone Cause

The Alfred State College women's basketball team has joined the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Pink Zone cause.  The Lady Pioneers have joined over 1,500 colleges in raising money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.  ASC's Pink Zone contest will be held on Saturday February 21 when Alfred State takes on Jamestown CC at 1 p.m. Read Article

Brannen's 42 leads Pioneers to Victory

Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) had a career high 42 points as the Alfred State College men's basketball team wrapped up their six-game road trip with a 86-73 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday.  ASC finishes the road trip 5-1 and improves to 16-11 (7-5 WNYAC) on the season. Read Article

Big Run Leads MNE past Lady Pioneers

The Mercyhurst North East women's basketball team used a 20 to 5 run that spanned the end of the first half and the start of the second to break a 27-27 tie en route to a 82-65 victory over Alfred State.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 9-12 overall and the season and 4-5 in Region III Division II play. Pelych Appointed to Alfred State College Council

Joseph G. Pelych, Hornell, has been appointed by the NYS Governor's Office to the Alfred State College Council. Council members serve without salary as an advisory group to the president of the College.  Read Article

ASC Masonry Students Participate in Seminar

Alfred State College's senior masonry students and seven local professional masons participated in a day-long seminar dealing with Rumford fireplace design and construction.  The seminar included lecture and hands-on laboratory experience on the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville.  Read Article
