Pioneers and Cougars Split

Alfred State and Genesee CC split a Region III Division II doubleheader at Alfred on Tuesday afternoon.  The Pioneers were held to five hits and fell 8-0 in the opener but bounced back for a 2-1 victory in the nightcap.  Read Article

Lady Pioneers Can't Solve Tribunes

 The Alfred State College softball team hung tough with the three-time NJCAA Division III champs, Monroe CC, but fell in both halves of a doubleheader on Tuesday.  MCC won by scores of 9-0 and 8-1. Read Article

Lacrosse Remains Ranked #10

The Alfred State College lacrosse team remains ranked #10 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Pioneers are now 8-2 overall on the season and 6-2 in Region III play. Read Article

The Alfred State College men's track and field team moved up one spot and the women's team remained solid in the latest NJCAA Division III Poll.  The men are currently ranked 3rd while the women hold on to the #8 ranking. Read Article

Gross and Reynolds to Compete at Penn Relays

David Gross (Brockport) and Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) will represent Alfred State College at this week's prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.  The duo will compete in the annual event that has taken place since 1895. Read Article

SUNY Honors Student Excellence

An Alfred State College graduating senior was named State University of New York (SUNY) 2009 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence winner. Samuel Parent, Gouverneur, was honored at a reception in Albany in April where he received a commemorative certificate and a medallion suitable to be worn at commencement and other special events.
