Volleyball finishes 1-2 at MVCC Tournament

The Alfred State College volleyball team finished 1-2 at the Mohawk Valley CC Tournament on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers defeated Herkimer CCC 2-0 (25-16, 25-20), fell 2-0 to Niagara CCC (16-25, 21-25), and lost a heartbreaker to SUNY Delhi 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 13-15). Read Article

Women's Soccer Ties Jefferson

Alfred State College and Jefferson CC battled 110 minutes with neither team able to find the back of the net.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-0-1 on the season and have yet to allow a goal. Read Article

Pioneers drop a pair of 1-0 decisions

The Alfred State College baseball team dropped a pair of 1-0 decisions at Niagara CCC this afternoon. NCCC scored the winning run in the 6th in the opener and in the 7th in the nightcap. Read Article

Pioneers fall in defensive battle with Erie

In a defensive battle, Erie CC was able to down Alfred State College 10-6 in the Northeast Football Conference opener for both teams.  ECC improves to 1-1 (1-0 NFC) while ASC falls to 1-1 (0-1 NFC). Read Article

Dr. Richard Kellogg Participated in an Open House

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology, Alfred State College, participated in an Open House at the historic Higgins-Ballard-Wylie home in Rushford, Sept. 6, 2009.  The current owner of the home, Ronald Beverly, played the role of NYS Gov. Frank Higgins, who was born in the home and spent his early years in Rushford. Read Article

Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) recorded her second straight game-winning goal as the Alfred State College women's soccer team blanked SUNY Delhi 1-0 to improve to 2-0 on the young season. Read Article

Late Goal lifts FLCC past Pioneers

Finger Lakes CC's Ryan Phillips capitalized a great corner kick with 6:19 left in regulation to lift the Lakers to a 1-0 victory over Alfred State at Pioneer Stadium on Thursday afternoon.  FLCC improves to 3-2-2 on the season while ASC falls to 0-3. Read Article

Homecoming/Family Weekend Sept. 24-27

Alfred State College will host its annual Homecoming/Family weekend Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 24-27, on the Alfred campus. Hundreds of visitors are expected to converge on campus to reconnect with old friends or visit with their students, perhaps for the first time since dropping them off for the fall semester in August.
