The Alfred State College volleyball team finished 1-2 at the Mohawk Valley CC Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Pioneers defeated Herkimer CCC 2-0 (25-16, 25-20), fell 2-0 to Niagara CCC (16-25, 21-25), and lost a heartbreaker to SUNY Delhi 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 13-15).

The current owner of the home, Ronald Beverly, played the role of NYS Gov. Frank Higgins, who was born in the home and spent his early years in Rushford.
