Seven members of the Alfred State College baseball team have earned All-WNYAC honors following the Pioneers 8-6 fall season. Mark Ciccotti (Horseheads) and Jake Dale (Keshequa) were 1st team selections, Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan) and Brian Zimmermann (Frontier) earned 2nd team honors, and Steve Smith (Hornell), JP Frey (Erie, PA), and Brian Ervay (Elmira Southside) were on the honorable mention team.

The Alfred State College volleyball team couldn't overcome a slow start and fell 3-1 (16-25, 21-25, 25-14, 22-25) to Erie CC in their WNYAC regular season finale. The Lady Pioneers are now 16-14 overall, 14-13 in Region III Division III contests, and 2-4 in WNYAC matches.

Alfred State College (ASC) and Alfred University (AU) successfully teamed up, winning a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service: MLK Collegiate Challenge Grant of $1,000 sponsored by the North Carolina Campus Compact. The grant supports efforts of college students to honor Dr. King through service to others.
