This year’s concert will also serve to dedicate the Anthony C. Cappadonia Auditorium, honoring Cappadonia’s 56 years of teaching and directing instrumental and choral groups at Alfred State. Alfred State and Corning CC battled in a Region III Division III doubleheader that featured more twists and turns than a mystery novel. The Pioneers (5-23, 4-12) walked off with a 9-8 victory in game one while the Red Barons (7-15, 4-10) took game two 7-6 behind a solo homer in the top of the 9th.

Alfred State multi athletes Travis Nagle (Randolph) and Kayla Franchina (Cassadaga Valley) etched their name into the record book with solid showings at the Region III Decathlon and Heptathlon. Nagle was 2nd in the two-day event while Franchina was 3rd.

The Alfred State lacrosse team scored the game's first twelve goals en route to a 19-6 victory over Mohawk Valley on Saturday. The win improves the Pioneers to 4-8 on the season and 3-7 in Region III play.
