Volleyball Team to host Dig Pink event

For the second year in a row and the third time in the past four years, the Alfred State College will be hosting a Dig Pink event.  All proceeds of Dig Pink events nationwide benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families. Pioneer Woodsmen’s Club Teams Came Out Swinging at Competition

“Understanding the Marcellus Shale” Lecture, Oct. 11

“Understanding the Marcellus Shale,” a lecture by Dr. Katherine Klingensmith, professor of biology and environmental science at Keuka College, is the second event in the New Horizons Forum fall series. It will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 in room 215 of the Engineering Technology Building on the ASC campus from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public. Read Article

Office of Communications Named Recipient of NCMPR's District 1 Medallion Awards

The Office of Communications at Alfred State College has been notified by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) that it has been named a recipient of that organization’s District 1 Medallion Awards for its entries, the Athletics Brochure and bus wrap, in the categories of Brochure/Flyer Series and Transit Advertising, respectively. Five New Members Inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame

During Homecoming 2011, five Alfred State College athletic alumni were inducted into the athletic department hall of fame.  Swimmer John Meade, track & field athlete Damian Rodriguez, lacrosse player Matthew Covert, baseball player Joe Greany, and swimmer Ashley Vogl will join the 56 inducted athletes.
