ASC set to host Summer Sports Festival

Six Pioneer Baseball Players Earn All-Region

Six members of the Alfred State College baseball team have earned All-Region honors.  JP Frey (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Jake Dale (Keshequa) were named to the 1st team while Mark Ciccotti (Horseheads), Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan), Brian Zimmermann (Frontier), and Joe Wallace (Avoca) were 2nd team selections. Shedden Named SUNY Scholar Athlete

Alfred State College wrestler Eric Shedden (Canton, PA) was named the NJCAA recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Athletes.  Shedden is the 14th ASC recipient of the award since its inception in 2004. Read Article

Three Lacrosse Players Named All-Region

Alfred State College sophomores Ryan Speciale (Corning West), Chase Bailey (Corning West), and Michael Fingar (Shenendehowa) were all named All-Region.  Speciale was a first team selection whil Bailey and Fingar were honorable mention. Read Article

Pioneer Baseball Season Ends After Split

The Alfred State College baseball team downed Mercyhurst North East 13-8 in the Region III Division II Tournament to keep their season alive but fell 9-6 to Monroe CC in the loser bracket final to see their season end with a 20-20 record. Read Article

Men finish 9th, Women 10th at Track Nationals

The Alfred State men's outdoor track & field team finished 9th while the women finished tied for 10th at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Columbia, MD. Read Article

Lady Pioneers swept by TC3

The Alfred State softball team was swept by the defending NJCAA Division III Champions on Saturday.  ASC fell 11-2 and 15-9 to Tompkins Cortland CC to fall to 13-19 (10-15) on the season. Read Article

Baseball Regionals Day 2 Moved to Bolivar

Day 2 of the Region III Division II Baseball Tournament has been moved to Bolivar Richburg High School due to wet weather overnight.  Alfred State will take on Mercyhurst North East starting at 11 a.m. followed by Monroe CC taking on Genesee CC at 2 p.m.  The winner of the ASC/MNE game will take on the loser of the MCC/GCC game at 5 p.m. Read Article
