The Alfred State College men's swimming team sits in 7th place after the first two days of competition at the NJCAA National Championships.  The Pioneers picked up 72 points after the first two days. Read Article

Foley, Brannen, and Wilson Named All-Region

Dan Foley (Irondequoit), Travis Brannen (Elmira Free), and Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) were recently named to the All-Region III Division II team.  The trio helped the Pioneers to a 17-14 mark and a trip to the regional final four. Read Article

Brooks Named Player of the Year

Alfred State College sophomore Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III Division II Player of the Year.  Her teammate and cousin Sherelle Brooks (Elmira Free) was also honored with a honorable All-Region selection.  Brittney Brooks becomes the second straight Lady Pioneer to earn the player of the year honor (Anthia Smith - 2008). Six Indoor Tracksters Earn All-Region Honors

Six members of the Alfred State College indoor track and field team have earned All-Region honors based on winning their events at the Region III Championships.  The men's team won the program's third straight indoor championship while the women finished third. Read Article

Four members of the Alfred State College men's swimming team earned All-Region honors based on their performance at the Region III/Northeast Districts.  Aaron Mychack (Lansing), Brett Kozlowski (N. Tonawanda), Phillip Valenta (Maine Endwell), and Cory Roberts (Marcus Whitman) were honored. Read Article

Wrestlers Compete at Nationals

Mike Gustafson (Warren, PA) led a trio of Alfred State College wrestlers at the NJCAA National Championships in Rochester, MN over the weekend.  Gustafson was the lone Pioneer that registered a victory. Read Article

Pioneers Fall In Semis

The Alfred State College men's basketball team fell behind by twenty and tried to rally but fell 88-73 to Monroe CC in the Region III Division II Tournament semifinals.  Monroe connected was 8 for 15 from three in the first half to take control of the game. Read Article

Lady Pioneers fall in Regional Opener

The Alfred State College rallied from a 16-point second half deficit to tie the game at 48-48 with 4:30 remaining but Erie CC finished the game on a 16-5 run to advance to the Region III Division II Final Four.  The Lady Pioneers close out the season with a 10-14 mark while the Lady Kats improve to 15-12 and will take on #1 seeded Genesee CC. Four Wrestlers Earn Postseason Honors

Four members of the Alfred State College wrestling team have earned postseason honors based on their performances at the Region III/Northeast Championships.  Mike Gustafson (Warren, PA) and Cody Lansberry (Kendall) earned All-Region and All-WNYAC honors while Darren Whittall (Starpoint) and Dan Dwyer (Lafayette) earned All-Region honors. Pioneers Advance to Semifinals

The Alfred State College men's basketball team came out on fire but had to hang on for a 76-70 victory over Jamestown CC in a Region III Division II contest.  The Pioneers improve to 17-13 on the season and will take on the #1 seed Monroe CC on Saturday in the semifinals. Read Article
