The Alfred State College softball team lost an extra inning affair 7-6 to Rochester (MN) CTC in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Lady Pioneers scored a run in the top of the 8th to take a 6-5 lead but the Hornets scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning with two outs to win the contest.

Alfred State College sophomore Dan Reynolds earned 1st team All-American status by winning the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University. Reynolds becomes just the second Pioneer during Coach Gary Moore's tenure to win an indoor title (Damien Rodriquez - 1997 in the pole vault).

The Alfred State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place. The blue and gold racked up 193 points. Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion.
