For the second week in a row, the Alfred State College women's cross country team won an invitational. The Lady Pioneers were victorious in the FLCC Invitational defeating #1 ranked Mohawk Valley CC. The men's team finished 2nd out of seven teams.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor emeritus of psychology at Alfred State college, is the author of an article appearing in the most recent issue of THE SERPENTINE MUSE, a quarterly literary journal. The Alfred State College Drama Club will present Man of La Mancha as its fall musical. Performances are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m., in the Orvis Auditorium on the Alfred campus. The Alfred State College volleyball team battled hard but fell in two five-set Region III Division III matches at Monroe CC on Thursday. ASC fell 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20, 11-15 to Finger Lakes CC and then saw Monroe CC rally to the win the final three sets (25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 20-25, 12-15) to win in the nightcap.
