New York State Postsecondary (college level) SkillsUSA competition
Saturday, March 28, 2009. Proposed categories of competition are
automotive service, CNC milling, carpentry, collision repair technology,
commercial baking, computer maintenance technology, cosmetology, culinary, job
skills demonstration, masonry, precision machining, residential wiring,
technical drafting, and welding.

Essi Corp., a company based in Broussard, LA, supplied Alfred State with a 133db outdoor, omni-directional warning siren which emits a 360 degree beam of sound on a horizontal plane.

senior masonry students and seven local professional masons participated in a
day-long seminar dealing with Rumford fireplace design and construction.
