ASC Students to Spend Spring Semester in Sorrento, Italy

MET Students Complete Electric Car Project

The newly retooled car can travel 50 miles per charge, dependent on terrain and driving habits; can reach a top speed of 81 mph; can achieve 0-60 mph in 28 seconds. The car can be charged in four hours to charge on 220Volts, and eight hours on 115Volts. Read Article

Taylor and Johnson named All-American

Alfred State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) and freshman punter Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named to the NJCAA All-American team.  This is the third time in Coach Mick Caba’s tenure that two players have been named All-American in the same year. ASC Awarded $60,000 Grant – Adds Five Emergency Sirens

“Three of the units will be added to the Alfred campus, while two others will be placed on the Wellsville campus,” said Greg Sammons, Chief of Police and coordinator of the grant application. “Once in place, the four sirens on the Alfred campus and two on the Wellsville campus will significantly enhance the volume of the sirens for people walking anywhere between buildings and in many cases, will penetrate the buildings and reach indoor classrooms and offices quite well.
