Coach Herman Boone to Speak at Campus-wide Leadership Retreat

Coach Herman Boone, whose life and leadership inspired the film Remember the Titans, will be addressing student leaders at Alfred State College as part of the campus-wide Living Your Legacy Leadership Retreat on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 12:45 p.m. in the Orvis Auditorium. ASC Students to Spend Spring Semester in Sorrento, Italy

Students will depart in mid-January and return in early May.  During the semester, field trips are planned to Cairo, Capri, Paestum, Rome, Naples, Pompei and other Roman sites around Mt. Vesuvius. Read Article

MET Students Complete Electric Car Project

The newly retooled car can travel 50 miles per charge, dependent on terrain and driving habits; can reach a top speed of 81 mph; can achieve 0-60 mph in 28 seconds. The car can be charged in four hours to charge on 220Volts, and eight hours on 115Volts. Read Article

Taylor and Johnson named All-American

Alfred State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) and freshman punter Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named to the NJCAA All-American team.  This is the third time in Coach Mick Caba’s tenure that two players have been named All-American in the same year.
