Lady Pioneers Sweep Past FLCC

The Alfred State College softball team swept a pair of games from Finger Lakes CC on Friday. The Lady Pioneers won the opener 8-0 and won the nightcap 1-0 in walk-off fashion. ASC is now 10-18 (7-11 Region III Division III). Read Article

Kingsborough and Mohawk Valley Lead After Day One of Track Nationals

Kingsborough CC leads the women's competition and Mohawk Valley CC leads the men's competition after day of the 2011 NJCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at Alfred State. The host Pioneers sit in 2nd place in the men's competition while the women are 7th. Read Article

Softball Moved Back a Day

Thursday's Alfred State College home softball game versus Finger Lakes CC has been moved back one day. ASC and FLCC will now square off in a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday afternoon. Read Article

Baseball Rained Out Again

Wednesday's Alfred State College baseball doubleheader at Onondaga CC has been rained out. The Pioneers have now been rained out two straight days and three of their last four contests. Read Article

Track Nationals Set to Begin Thursday

322 athletes representing 24 colleges are on their way to Alfred State for the 2011 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Read Article

Farrell and Nelson Named SUNY Scholar Athletes

Alfred State College sophomores Alex Farrell (N. Tonawanda) and Taylor Nelson (Somers) have been named SUNY Chancellor's Scholar Athlete award winners. Farrell is the NJCAA cross country representative while Nelso represents wrestling. Read Article

Murphy Named Athlete of the Week

Alfred State College track & field athlete Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) has been named the Region III co-female athlete of the week. Murphy is the third Pioneer to gain the honor this spring. Read Article

Baseball and Softball Washed Out

Tuesday's Alfred State College baseball and softball doubleheaders have been rained out due to persistent rain and poor field conditions. Read Article

Pioneers Sweep Broome

The Alfred State College baseball team ran their winning streak to three and climbed back to .500 with a doubleheader sweep of Broome CC. ASC won the opener 4-3 in walk-off fashion and won the nightcap 10-3. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Win Regional Title

The Alfred State College women's outdoor track & field team won the Region III Championships this weekend. The title is the first for the women since 2007 and first regional title for ASC during the 2010-11 school year. Read Article
