Thunderwolves Sweep Pioneers

Niagara CCC used big late innings to break open close games as they swept Alfred State 8-2 & 9-2 in a Region III Division III doubleheader played at Bolivar Richburg High School.  The blue & gold fall to 10-12 (6-9 RIII DIII) on the season while NCCC, ranked #3 in NJCAA Division III improve to 19-2 (11-0 RIII DIII). Niagara Holds off Alfred State

Niagara CCC scored three runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to regain their lead en route to a 7-5 victory over Alfred State on Tuesday.  The second game of the doubleheader was suspended in the second inning with ASC leading 2-1. Read Article

Pioneers Net Ten in Loss to #1 Onodaga

The Alfred State College lacrosse team found the back of the net ten times in a 32-10 loss to #1 ranked Onondaga CC.  The ten goals scored against OCC (12-0) ties the most allowed by the Lazers in a game this season. Read Article

Votava finishes 3rd, Hewlett 4th at Multi

Megan Votava (Alfred Almond) finished 3rd at the Region III Heptathlon while Alex Hewlett (Wellsville) was 4th in the Region III Decathlon.  The pair along with Randy Kelly (Hudson Falls) competed at the two-day event at SUNY Delhi. Read Article

Pioneers and Lakers Split

In rain, snow, sleet, and peeks of sunshine, Alfred State and Finger Lakes CC split a Region III Division III doubleheader.  The Lakers used big innings to earn a 12-2 victory in game one while the Pioneers used a 5-run 3rd inning in game two en route to a 7-2 victory. Read Article

Tracksters Compete at Brockport

The Alfred State College track & field team competed in adverse conditions at the SUNY Brockport Invitational.  Abbey Benton (Frewsburg) led the way by qualifying for the NJCAA Division III National Championships in the 10,000 m with a run of 43:40.91. Read Article

The Alfred State College lacrosse team battled tough but fell two goals short in a 16-14 loss at Niagara CCC.  The Pioneers led 6-4 after the first quarter but were outscored 10-4 in the middle quarters and couldn't recover. Read Article

The Alfred State College lacrosse team led 3-2 after one quarter and 6-5 at halftime but Finger Lakes CC outscored the Pioneers 10-2 in the second half for the 15-8 victory.  FLCC improves to 6-6 while ASC falls to 0-9. Read Article
