Four Pioneers Place at ASC Open

Four members of the Alfred State College wrestling team earned top four finishes at the annual ASC Open on Saturday.  Darren Whittall (Starpoint) and Daniel Steiger (Miller Place) took home 3rd while Alex Krammell (Perry) and Dan Dwyer (Lafayette) finished 4th. Read Article

Male Swimmers Split Double-Dual

The Alfred State College men's swimming team spilt a WNYAC double-dual meet on Wednesday evening in Rochester.  ASC downed Jamestown CC 124-10 but fell 143-63 to Monroe CC. Read Article

Toyodome Named AVCA All-American

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced its Two-Year Colleges Women's Volleyball All-American Team, and Alfred State's Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) was named to the First Team.  This is the first time ever an Alfred State athlete has received this honor.  Toyodome is the only NJCAA Division III player named to the First Team.  Read Article

Three Pointers Doom Pioneers

After a slow first five minutes, Gensee CC got their offense going in a 92-61 WNYAC victory over Alfred State on Tuesday evening.  The Cougars, ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, trailed 14-0 after five minutes but went on to hit 15 three-pointers to improve to 9-0 on the season. Lady Pioneers Fall in '08 Finale

Genesee CC jumped out to a 15-2 lead and never looked back en route to a 70-45 victory over Alfred State in the WNYAC opener for both teams.  ASC ends the 2008 portion of the season with a 4-7 mark while GCC evens up their record at 3-3. Read Article
