Alfred State swept a doubleheader from the JV squad from Pitt-Bradford, 7-5 & 14-4, on Thursday to improve to 9-6 on the season.  The Pioneers are now 3-1 since returning from their southern trip. Read Article

Cougars 2nd Quarter Run Downs Pioneers

Genesee CC scored three unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a lead they would never give up in a 13-10 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday evening in Region III lacrosse.  GCC is now 6-1 on the year while ASC falls to 1-4. Read Article

Wilson Earns Another Honor

Alfred State College sophomore Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) has been named to the second team of the Basketball Coaches Association of New York All-NYS Junior College team.  Earlier in the year, Wilson was named 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC. Read Article

Pioneers Split with Lackawanna

The Alfred State College baseball team split their first northern doubleheader on Sunday versus Lackawanna College.  The Pioneers, 7-6 on the season, won the opener 12-7 but fell 4-0 in the nightcap. Read Article

Pioneers Fall to Herkimer

The Alfred State College lacrosse team came out of the gate slow and was never able to fully recover and fell to #6 Herkimer CCC 21-11 in their 2010 home opener.  ASC falls to 1-3 (1-1 Region III) on the season while HCCC improves to 3-0. Read Article

Track Cancelled Friday

The 2010 outdoor track & field season opener at Erie CC (Orchard Park) scheduled for Friday afternoon has been cancelled due to forecasted low temperatures.  The Pioneers have now have had their first two meets of the season cancelled. Read Article

Penalties Plague Pioneers

The Alfred State College lacrosse team was unable to overcome 14 penalties and fell to Delaware Tech -Terry Campus 18-16 on Sunday afternoon.  ASC is now 1-2 on the young campaign. Read Article

Pioneers Split Final Day of Spring Trip

The Alfred State College baseball concluded their 2010 spring trip to Cocoa, FL with a doubleheader split.  ASC fell 10-9 in nine innings to North Iowa Area CC but rebounded with a come from behind 11-7 victory over Dakota College @ Bottineau.  The Pioneers end their trip with a 6-5 mark. Ward shuts out Iowa Lakes

Tyler Ward (Bishop Kearney) allowed just two hits in a complete game shutout as Alfred State downed Iowa Lakes CC 2-0 in Cocoa, FL.  Ward improves to 2-0 on the season while the Pioneers are now 5-4 on their spring trip. Read Article
