Lady Pioneers Rally Falls Short

David G. Haggstrom, Angelica, has been named to the board of the Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc. As a board member, Haggstrom will contribute his skills to the management of the property affairs, business, and concerns of the corporation; he will also participate in the adoption of resolutions and regulations for the conduct of the management of the affairs of the corporation. The Alfred State College women's basketball team raced to a 93-40 victory over Houghton College JV to win their fifth straight.  The Lady Pioneers are now 5-1 on the season while the Highlanders fall to 1-4. Read Article

Brooks Named Player of the Week

Alfred State College sophomore women's basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III female athlete of the week.  Brooks helped the Lady Pioneers to a 3-0 week and a 4-1 start. Read Article

Pioneers Hold off Orange Rally

The Alfred State College men's basketball team held off a second half rally by SUNY Orange and escaped with a 61-57 victory.  The Pioneers snap a three game slide and improve to 3-4 on the year. Read Article

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) and Danielle Conway (Bainbridge Guilford) led the Alfred State College women's basketball team to a 82-72 victory SUNY Orange.  The Lady Pioneers are now 4-1 on the year while the Lady Colts fall to 1-2. Read Article

Pioneers Down Erie to Close out Season

The Alfred State College football team revenged an early season loss at Erie CC with a 21-15 victory over the Kats to close out the 2009 season.  The Pioneers who received a forfeit victory earlier in the week finish their campaign with a 5-5 record while the Kats finish 4-6. Read Article
