Votava finishes 3rd, Hewlett 4th at Multi

Megan Votava (Alfred Almond) finished 3rd at the Region III Heptathlon while Alex Hewlett (Wellsville) was 4th in the Region III Decathlon.  The pair along with Randy Kelly (Hudson Falls) competed at the two-day event at SUNY Delhi. Read Article

Pioneers and Lakers Split

In rain, snow, sleet, and peeks of sunshine, Alfred State and Finger Lakes CC split a Region III Division III doubleheader.  The Lakers used big innings to earn a 12-2 victory in game one while the Pioneers used a 5-run 3rd inning in game two en route to a 7-2 victory. Read Article

Tracksters Compete at Brockport

The Alfred State College track & field team competed in adverse conditions at the SUNY Brockport Invitational.  Abbey Benton (Frewsburg) led the way by qualifying for the NJCAA Division III National Championships in the 10,000 m with a run of 43:40.91. Read Article

Lacrosse Falls in Close One

The Alfred State College lacrosse team battled tough but fell two goals short in a 16-14 loss at Niagara CCC.  The Pioneers led 6-4 after the first quarter but were outscored 10-4 in the middle quarters and couldn't recover. Read Article

FLCC Rallies for Victory

The Alfred State College lacrosse team led 3-2 after one quarter and 6-5 at halftime but Finger Lakes CC outscored the Pioneers 10-2 in the second half for the 15-8 victory.  FLCC improves to 6-6 while ASC falls to 0-9. Read Article

Morgan and Ronan Recipients of Freshman Advocate Award

The award, sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, is given to the employee at Alfred State who had a most positive influence on a student's freshman year at the College.
