Ten Pioneers Ready for Indoor Nationals

Ten members of the Alfred State College indoor track & field team have traveled to Lubbock, TX and Texas Tech University for the 2011 NJCAA National Championships.  Competition begins on Friday and runs all day Saturday. Read Article

A trio of Alfred State College women's basketball players have earned postseason honors.  Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) was named 1st team All-Region & All-WNYAC, Amie Brooks (Pavilion) was named 3rd team All-Region & All-WNYAC, and Shadeeka Campbell (Brooklyn/William Grady) was named honorable mention All-WNYAC. Lady Pioneers Fall in Semifinals

The Alfred State College women's basketball teams 2010-11 season came to an end following a 78-65 loss to #1 seed Genesee CC in the semifinals of the Region III Division II Tournament.  The Pioneers, the #4 seed, conclude the season with a 14-14 mark while the Cougars will take on #3 Mercyhurst North East in the tournament finals on Sunday. Alfred State College freshman wrestler Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) has advanced to the NJCAA Wrestling National Championships semifinals in the 149 lb. weight class.  Peet and the Pioneers sit in 28th place after day one of competition in Spokane, WA. Read Article

4 x 400 & Lewis Qualify for Nationals

The women's 4 x 400 relay team and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) qualified for next week's NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships with strong performances at the Collegiate Challenge at the NYC Armory. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Advance

After a slow start, the Alfred State College women’s basketball team got it going and was able to defeat Niagara CCC 67-59 in a Region III Division II Tournament 1st Round contest.  The Pioneerswill take on the #1 seed Genesee CC on Saturday in the regional final four. Read Article
