Lady Pioneers Sweep FLCC

The Alfred State softball team got solid pitching and defense in a doubleheader sweep of Finger Lakes CC. The Pioneers won 6-0 and 6-1 to improve to 5-24 on the season. Read Article

Mohawk Valley and Harper Lead After Day One of Track Nationals

The Mohawk Valley CC women's team and the Harper (IL) College men's team lead after day one of the 2012 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. MVCC has scored 42 points after four events while Harper holds a slight one point lead with 32 points after five events Read Article

Pioneers Close Out Season

The 2012 Alfred State baseball team closed out the season on Wednesday with a home doubleheader vs. Jamestown CC. The Pioneers were held to eight hits and were swept, 10-0 and 11-0, by the Jayhawks. Read Article

Wilkes Signs with WV Wesleyan

Alfred State running back Kevin Wilkes (Frederick, MD/Urbana) became the 5th Pioneer to sign a National Letter of Intent to continue their academic and athletic at a NCAA school. Wilkes recently signed with West Virginia Wesleyan University. Read Article

Alfred State Set for NJCAA Track Nationals

Alfred State is ready to host the 2012 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day event begins on Thursday morning and runs until Saturday afternoon when the National Champion is crowned. In total 22 teams and 335 athletes are slated to compete in the competition held at Pioneer Stadium. Read Article

Pioneers Swept by Niagara CCC

The Alfred State baseball team couldn't get much going as they fell 12-2 and 6-0 to Niagara CCC in a Region III Division III doubleheader on Tuesday. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Fall to Corning

The Alfred State offense struggled to get going in a doubleheader vs. Corning CC. The Red Barons swept the pair of Region III Division III contests 10-1 and 7-0. The Lady Pioneers were held to just five singles on the day. Read Article

Dorsey Named Region III Athlete of the Week

Track and Field sprinter Briana Dorsey (Rochester/School of the Arts) has been named the Region III co-female athlete of the week after a solid performance at the Region III Championships of the weekend. Read Article

Baseball Tripped up by FLCC

The Alfred State baseball team collected 27 hits in a doubleheader with Finger Lakes CC but the Lakers offense was just as productive in a sweep of a Region III Division III doubleheader, 15-10 in nine innings and 16-3. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Fall in Two Close Contests

The Alfred State softball team lost two close contests to SUNY Delhi 6-4 and 9-8 as they wrapped up their weekend road trip. Read Article
