Alfred State College sophomore women's basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III female athlete of the week.  Brooks helped the Lady Pioneers to a 3-0 week and a 4-1 start. Read Article

The Alfred State College men's basketball team held off a second half rally by SUNY Orange and escaped with a 61-57 victory.  The Pioneers snap a three game slide and improve to 3-4 on the year. Read Article

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) and Danielle Conway (Bainbridge Guilford) led the Alfred State College women's basketball team to a 82-72 victory SUNY Orange.  The Lady Pioneers are now 4-1 on the year while the Lady Colts fall to 1-2. Read Article

Pioneers Down Erie to Close out Season

The Alfred State College football team revenged an early season loss at Erie CC with a 21-15 victory over the Kats to close out the 2009 season.  The Pioneers who received a forfeit victory earlier in the week finish their campaign with a 5-5 record while the Kats finish 4-6. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Win Third Straight

The Alfred State College women's basketball team raced out to an early lead and never looked back in a 85-39 victory over Roberts Wesleyan JV on Thursday evening.  The Lady Pioneers have now won three in a row and are 3-1 on the year. Read Article

Second Half Run Lifts Cuyahoga past ASC

Cuyahoga (OH) CC used a 20 to 5 run in the second half to break a 42-42 tie en route to a 71-62 victory over Alfred State on Thursday evening.  The Pioneers are now 2-4 on the year. Read Article

Moore Named Coach of the Year

Gary Moore has been named the NJCAA Division III men's cross country coach of the year following Alfred State's 2nd place finish at the National Championships.  Moore was chosen for the award by his fellow coaches. Read Article

Four Pioneers Run to All-American Honors

Four members of the Alfred State College cross country team ran to NJCAA Division III honors with top 15 finishes at the National Championships last weekend at Finger Lakes CC.  John Sweeney (Barker) earned first team, Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) and Carey Crooker (Addison) earned second team, and Joe Seitz (Williamsville North) was third team. Wrestlers Open up Season with Victory

The Alfred State College wrestling team opened up the 2009-10 season with a convincing 36-12 victory over Jamestown CC.  The Pioneers won eight of the nine matches wrestled. Read Article

Pioneers Fall in Final Seconds

Cayuga CC hit two foul shots with 6.8 seconds remaining to defeat the Alfred State College men's basketball 81-80.  The Pioneers fall to 2-3 on the season. Read Article
