Pioneer Men Finsh 6th, Women 8th at Districts

The Alfred State College men's swim team finished 6th overall and 4th in Region III at the Northeast Districts over the weekend while the women finished 8th overall and 5th in Region III.  The men scored 170.5 points while the women accumulated 73.5. Read Article

Track Team Competes at Cornell

The Alfred State College indoor track & field team competed in the Cornell University Kane Invitational on Saturday.  Over 1,300 athletes representing 20 colleges competed. Read Article

Cougars Rally to Top Pioneers

The Alfred State College men's basketball team led for most of their WNYAC contest versus Genesee CC but the Cougars mounted a second half comeback outscoring ASC 40-25 to earn a 67-61 victory.  The Pioneers fall to 11-16 overall and 5-7 in WNYAC play. Read Article

Five Pioneer Wrestling Alum to be Honored

Five former Alfred State College wrestlers will be inducted into the Region III/Northeast District I Hall of Fame on Sunday prior the championship matches of the Northeast District Championships.  Jamie Luckett (2005-2007), Tyler Shephard (2003-2005, Dan Chase (2001-2003), Pat Nolan (1990-1992), and Tony Ferrara (1988-1990) will be honored. Alfred State Ready to Host Wrestling Districts

Alfred State College will host the 2010 NJCAA Region III/Northeast District I Championship on Sunday at the Orvis Activities Center.  The event, featuring five teams, is a qualifier for the NJCAA Wrestling National Championship. Read Article

Wilson and Gobezai Lead ASC past Jamestown

Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) and Younatan Gobezai (Washington DC) led the Alfred State College men's basketball team past Jamestown CC 76-65.  The win avenges an early season loss to JCC and improves the Pioneers to 11-14 overall and 5-5 in WNYAC play. Read Article
