Cold Shooting Streaks Doom Pioneers

Both the Alfred State College basketball team struggled shooting as they fell to Erie CC on Tuesday night at the Flickenger Center in Buffalo.  The women sees their record fall to 9-11 (4-4 Region III Division II) after a 52-49 decision while the men are now 13-11 (5-5 WNYAC) following a 67-61 loss. Tom Golisano to Receive Honorary Doctorate at Alfred State Commencement in May

Thomas Golisano, founder and chair of the board of directors of Paychex, Inc., Rochester, the second-largest payroll processor in the United States, and 1962 general business management graduate of Alfred State College, will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters, at his alma mater's commencement ceremony, Sunday, May 17, 2009. Brannen Named National and Region Athlete of the Week

Wrestlers Fall in Regular Season Finale

Late Run Leads ASC to Fifth Straight

Brooks' 31 leads Lady Pioneers past NCCC

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) netted 31 points as the Alfred State College women's basketball team defeated a fiesty Niagara CCC 72-65 in Sanborn on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-10 overall on the season and 4-3 in Region III Division II contests. Read Article

Wearing black crepe paper armbands and brandishing signs and banners, students, faculty, and staff at Alfred State College, as well as guests, participated in an on-campus rally Friday to send a message to NYS Gov. David A. Paterson:  "Save SUNY!"  Read Article
