ASC Recipient of Outstanding Humane Organization Collaborative Award

Alfred State College was the recipient, earlier this month, of the Outstanding Humane Organization Collaborative Award, presented by the Finger Lakes SPCA.  This award "recognizes the extraordinary compassion and collaborative spirit with the Finger Lakes SPCA for the benefit of those who cannot speak for themselves."  Alfred State College (students, faculty, and staff) supported the August 2008 Equine Rescue led by the Finger Lakes SPCA. Pioneers Wrap Up Nationals in 4th and 7th place

Pioneers Remain in 1st, Women in 7th after Day Two of Track Nationals

The Alfred State College men's track & field team remains in first place after day two of the NJCAA Division III National Championships.  The men, 78 points, lead Harper College by 10 points heading into the final day of competition.  The Lady Pioneers have earned 23 points good for seventh place in the standings.            Read Article

Pioneer Men Lead After Day One of Nationals, Women 8th

The Alfred State College men's track and field team leads after day one of the 2009 NJCAA Division III National Championships held at Pioneer Stadium.  The Pioneers scored 52 first day points and lead 2nd place Harper College (IL) by 13 points.  On the women's side, the Lady Pioneers have earned 7th points. Shell of Workforce Development Center Completed

Supporters of Alfred State College gathered at the School of Applied Technology campus recently to celebrate the completion of Phase I of the Construction Workforce Development Center-the shell has been completed and the building fully enclosed.  It awaits funding to complete the interior.  Read Article

Commencement Scheduled for May 17

Nearly 900 two-and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends will be on hand Sunday, May 17, at noon, as Alfred State College honors its 98th graduating class. Presiding over the ceremony will be Dr. John M. Anderson, college president. The ceremony will be held at McLane Center on the neighboring Alfred University campus. Graduates will need to use the tickets in their graduation packets for their families' admission. Read Article

Alfred State College employees once again participated in the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day in April.  This event is open to employees' children, grandchildren, grandsons, nieces, and nephews between the ages of nine and 15. Read Article

Alfred State Ready to Host Track National Championships

Beginning on Wednesday athletes representing twenty-five NJCAA institutions will travel to Alfred State College to participate in the 2009 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  The event will feature nearly 350 participants vying for both individual and team honors. Read Article
