Pioneers and Spartans Tie

The Alfred State College men's soccer team scored a goal late in regulation to tie their game with Cayuga CC on Saturday.  Neither team could score in overtime and settled for a 1-1 tie.  ASC is now 6-4-1 on the season. Read Article

Baseball Falls in Semis

The Alfred State College baseball team could not overcome an early 4-0 deficit and stranded the tying run in scoring position in the 9th in a 4-3 loss to Monroe CC.  The Tribunes advance to the WNYAC finals while the Pioneers finish the fall season with a 8-6 mark. Read Article

Women's Soccer shuts out Cayuga

The Alfred State College women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 4-0 to improve to 9-1-2 on the year.  The shutout for the 8th ranked NJCAA Division III team is the eighth of the season. Read Article

Pioneers can't Overcome Slow Start

Three early turnovers helped Cornell University JV jump out to a 30-0 lead en route to a 33-19 victory over Alfred State in the rain on Friday evening.  The Pioneers nine game non-conference winning streak dating back to the 2007 season comes to an end and the '09 squad falls to 3-2 on the season. The Alfred State College volleyball team fell in four to Corning CC on Thursday night, 19-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-27.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-9 on the season. Read Article

After falling behind 1-0, the Alfred State College women's soccer team got the offense going in a 4-1 victory over Erie CC on Thursday evening.  With the victory, the Lady Pioneers are 8-1-2 (7-1-1 Region III Division III) on the season. Read Article

The Alfred State College men's soccer team won their fifth straight game 3-1 over Erie CC at Pioneer Stadium on Thursday afternoon.  The Pioneers improve to 6-4 (5-3 Region III Division III) with the win. Read Article

Dr. William Rezak, president of Alfred State College from 1993-2003, met with Honors Program members Sept. 24 to explain and discuss the ongoing Middle East tensions, giving particular emphasis to the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Read Article

Public Invited to Informational Discussion on Energy for the Homeowner

The School of Applied Technology at Alfred State College invites the public to attend an informational discussion on energy for the homeowner. Jeff Stevens, assistant professor, Electrician, Computer and Robotics Technician Department (aka “the renewable energy guy on campus”) will discuss how to evaluate your family’s current energy usage and how to find ways to lower your total energy bill, including heat, hot water, electricity, etc. Read Article
