Francia and Lewis Qualify for Nationals

Pete Francia (Greece Olympia) and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) qualified for the 2010 NJCAA Division III National Championships with wins at the Blue & Gold tri-meet.  ASC's men finished 2nd with 112.5 points while the women were 3rd with 76 points. Read Article

ASC Offers Scholarships to Victims of Haiti Earthquake

The “Scholarships for Haiti” program has been established to provide five scholarships in either its construction management engineering technology curriculums in an effort to help rebuild the infrastructure of the struggling island nation. Read Article

Pioneer Baseball Wins One over Weekend

The Alfred State College baseball team went 1-3 on a weekend road trip.  ASC fell 1-0 and and 9-2 to Lackawanna (PA) College on Friday and then split a doubleheader with Hagerstown (MD) CC, winning 8-6 and falling 4-3 in eight innings.  ASC is now 12-9 on the season. Read Article

Herkimer Tops Lady Pioneers

A nine run 1st inning in game one and a seven run 2nd in game two led Herkimer CCC to a doubleheader sweep of Alfred State on Sunday afternoon.  ASC's four game winning streak was snapped and the team falls to 6-8 (3-4 Region III Division III) on the year. Read Article

Lax Downs Mercyhurst North East

The Alfred State College lacrosse team snapped a six game losing streak with a 8-6 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Saturday at Pioneer Stadium.  The win improves the Pioneers to 2-6 overall and and 2-4 in Region III play. Read Article

Men 8th, Women 12th at U of R

The Alfred State men's outdoor track & field team finished 8th out of 13 teams at the University of Rochester while the women finished 12th out of 14 teams.  During the competition, four more athletes qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships. Read Article

The Alfred State softball team evened up their record with a doubleheader sweep of Onondaga CC, 7-1 & 9-2, on Saturday afternoon.  ASC is now 6-6 (3-2 Region III Division III) on the season. Read Article
