Lady Spikers Win ASC Tourney Crown

The Alfred State College volleyball team defeated Corning CC 25-17, 25-14 to win the ASC Tournament title. The Lady Pioneers were 4-1 on the day and are now 15-8 on the season. Read Article

Men's Soccer Falls in OT

For the second time in the past two weeks the Alfred State College men's soccer team lost a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime decision.  Finger Lakes CC scored 1:42 into the first overtime to secure the win. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Upend Herkimer

The Alfred State College women's soccer team started off fast and defeated Herkimer CCC 5-1 in a key Region III Division III contest.  ASC, winners of five in a row, are now 8-3 on the season. Read Article

Pioneer Woodsmen Team Competes at FLCC Home Meet

Alfred State College’s Pioneer Woodsmen team recently competed with 21 other teams at Finger Lakes Community College’s home meet which was held at Cummings Nature Center in Naples. Alfred State sent four teams: a men’s 1 team, a men’s 2 team, a women’s team, and a Jack-and-Jill team. Read Article

Dr. Steve Tyrell, vice president for Student Affairs at Alfred State College, presented “The Use of Managerial Control in Interactions with Others” at the New York State College Student Personnel Association annual conference Oct. 4 in Rochester.
