Dig Pink Event Raises Over $1,200

The Alfred State College volleyball team raised $1,225 with their "Dig Pink" event on Tuesday, October 19th.  The money raised will be donated to the Side-Out Foundation. Read Article

Haines and Dumbleton Named All-Region

Alfred State College sophomore volleyball players Brittany Haines (Salamanca) and Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) have been named All-Region.  Haines was a 1st team selection for the second time while Dumbleton was named 2nd team. Read Article

ASC to Pay Tribute to Veterans and Current Members of United States Armed Forces

Ergo, the student literary magazine, will be available Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Allegany Room of the Central Dining Hall on the Alfred campus. The event, sponsored by the College’s Department of English and Humanities, is open to the public free of charge. Read Article

ACES Video Wins Outstanding Multimedia/Emerging Technology Award

Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Services (ACES—the campus dining, vending, and transportation provider) was delighted to learn that the video it prepared for orientation has won the 2010 Outstanding Multimedia/Emerging Technology award from the National Orientation Director’s Association (NODA). Lady Spikers Season Ends at Regionals

The Alfred State College volleyball season came to an end at the Region III Division III Tournament on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers fell 2-1 in all three matches of pool play to end their 2010 season. Read Article

Pioneer Men 2nd, Women 4th at Regionals

The Alfred State College men's cross country team finished 2nd out of nine teams at the Region III Championships while the women were 4th out of eight. Read Article

4th Quarter Rally Falls Short

The Alfred State College football team dug themselves into too big a hole and fell 27-14 to Dean College.  The Pioneers are now 4-4 on the year while the Bulldogs are 6-3. Read Article

Seven Lady Pioneers Named All-WNYAC

Seven members of the Alfred State College women's soccer team have been named All-WNYAC following the Lady Pioneers 11-5 season.  ASC finshed 2nd in the WNYAC standings with a 4-1 mark. Read Article

Members of University Faculty Senate Convened at ASC for 156th Plenary Meeting

Members of the University Faculty Senate throughout New York State convened recently at Alfred State College for the group’s 156th Plenary meeting. Defined by the SUNY (State University of New York) Policies of the Board of Trustees, University Faculty Senate is "the official agency through which the University Faculty engages in the governance of the University."
