The Alfred State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place. The blue and gold racked up 193 points. Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion.

the play Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by Steve Martin, Friday,
April 3, at 7 p.m. (a dinner performance at the Lake Lodge), Saturday, April 4,
at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 5, at 2:30 p.m. at the Orvis Activities Center
Auditorium. Admission to the play is $3 for ASC and AU students and
senior citizens; $5 for the general public.

Dan Foley (Irondequoit), Travis Brannen (Elmira Free), and Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) were recently named to the All-Region III Division II team. The trio helped the Pioneers to a 17-14 mark and a trip to the regional final four.

Alfred State College sophomore Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III Division II Player of the Year. Her teammate and cousin Sherelle Brooks (Elmira Free) was also honored with a honorable All-Region selection. Brittney Brooks becomes the second straight Lady Pioneer to earn the player of the year honor (Anthia Smith - 2008).
