Makell and Ezemma earn Weekly Honors

Alfred State College football players Xavier Makell (Baltimore, MD) and Obi Ezemma (Queens) have earned weekly honors following solid performances on Friday night at Cornell University.  Makell was named the Region III male athlete of the week while Ezemma was named the NFC special teams player of the week. Cross Country Remains In Top Five

The Alfred State College cross country team had the weekend off from competition but remained in their top five spots in the latest NJCAA Division III polls.  The men are ranked #3 and the women are #5. Read Article

Alfred State Invitational Set for Saturday

The 2009 Alfred State College Volleyball Invitational will be held this Saturday at the Orvis Activities Center.  The field for the 2009 tournament could be the most competitive in the history of the tournament. Read Article

High School Visitation Program

Alfred State College’s Office of Admissions is again hosting its annual High School Visitation Program this fall. The program has been scheduled for each Thursday starting Sept. 24, and running through Nov. 12, 2009. Read Article

Pioneers and Spartans Tie

The Alfred State College men's soccer team scored a goal late in regulation to tie their game with Cayuga CC on Saturday.  Neither team could score in overtime and settled for a 1-1 tie.  ASC is now 6-4-1 on the season. Read Article

Baseball Falls in Semis

The Alfred State College baseball team could not overcome an early 4-0 deficit and stranded the tying run in scoring position in the 9th in a 4-3 loss to Monroe CC.  The Tribunes advance to the WNYAC finals while the Pioneers finish the fall season with a 8-6 mark. Read Article

Women's Soccer shuts out Cayuga

The Alfred State College women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 4-0 to improve to 9-1-2 on the year.  The shutout for the 8th ranked NJCAA Division III team is the eighth of the season. Read Article

Pioneers can't Overcome Slow Start

Three early turnovers helped Cornell University JV jump out to a 30-0 lead en route to a 33-19 victory over Alfred State in the rain on Friday evening.  The Pioneers nine game non-conference winning streak dating back to the 2007 season comes to an end and the '09 squad falls to 3-2 on the season. Lady Spikers Fall in Four

The Alfred State College volleyball team fell in four to Corning CC on Thursday night, 19-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-27.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-9 on the season. Read Article
