Drama Club to Present Mousetrap

The Alfred State Drama Club will present the play Mousetrap, at the Lake Lodge, Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. followed by an opening night reception; Friday, April 13, a dinner theater performance at Lake Lodge, with dinner beginning at 6 p.m.; and Saturday, April 14, 7 p.m. Cost is $2 for students, $5 for the general public. Cost for the dinner theater performance is $18 per person. A bus will provide transportation between Lake Lodge and Alfred State campus. Read Article

Witchella Named Region Athlete of the Week

Alfred State freshman basketball player Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) has been named the Region III female athlete of the week. Witchella had a big week as the Lady Pioneers increased there winning streak to eight games. Read Article

Lady Pioneers are #2 Seed in Regionals

As expected, the Alfred State women's basketball team will be the #2 seed in the Region III Division II in this week's tournament. The Lady Pioneers ended the regular season with a 18-8 overall mark and a 7-3 record in RIII DII. Read Article

Peet Finishes 2-2 at Wrestling Nationals

Alfred State wrestler Tyler Peet (Gilbertsville/Unadilla Valley) was 2-2 in the 149 lb. weight class at the NJCAA National Championships.  Peet accounted for all of the Pioneers 5.5 points in the event. Read Article

Pioneers Close out Season

The Alfred State men's basketball team struggled from the floor and fell 66-54 to Jamestown CC in their 2011-12 season finale. The Pioneers end the year 7-21 (2-12 WNYAC) while JCC improves to 14-14. Read Article

Team Effort Lifts Lady Pioneers over JCC

The Alfred State women's basketball team clinched the #2 seed in the Region III Division II Tournament with a total team victory, 62-56 over Jamestown CC.  The Lady Pioneers are now winners of eight straight and are 18-8 overall (7-3 RIII DII). Read Article
