The Alfred State lacrosse team outscored Jefferson CC 13-0 in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to earn a 22-7 victory over Jefferson CC.  The Pioneers have now won three straight and are now 6-8 overall and 5-7 in Region III play. Read Article

Pioneers Rally in Nightcap to Earn Split

The Alfred State baseball team trailed twice in game two of the second game of a Region III Division III doubleheader at Corning CC but was able to rally for a 4-3 victory to salvage a split. The Red Barons jumped out to an early 9-0 lead in the opener en route to a 12-2 victory in the opener. Read Article

Jamestown Olean used a four-run 5th inning in game one and a seven-run 5th inning to defeat Alfred State 5-1 & 8-1 in a Region III Division III doubleheader on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. Read Article

The Alfred State women's track & field team moved up one spot to the #3 position in the latest NJCAA Division III poll while the men's team slid down one spot to the #4 spot. Read Article

Two Alfred State graduating seniors – Amanda Bush of Altoona, PA, and Masanari Yamamoto of Tokyo, Japan – have been named State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recipients for 2012. Read Article

Alumni Choral Spring Concert Scheduled

This year’s concert will also serve to dedicate the Anthony C. Cappadonia Auditorium, honoring Cappadonia’s 56 years of teaching and directing instrumental and choral groups at Alfred State. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:15 p.m. will precede the performance, and the official dedication will occur during the concert’s intermission. Read Article

Pioneers and Red Barons Split Wild Doubleheader

Alfred State and Corning CC battled in a Region III Division III doubleheader that featured more twists and turns than a mystery novel.  The Pioneers (5-23, 4-12) walked off with a 9-8 victory in game one while the Red Barons (7-15, 4-10) took game two 7-6 behind a solo homer in the top of the 9th.
