Volleyball player Lera Braun (Waterloo) and men's soccer player Mitchell Porter (Alfred Almond) have been named the Alfred State athletes of the week. Braun helped the Lady Pioneers to a 3-1 week while Porter and the Pioneers were 1-1.

The Alfred State athletic department will induct five new members into the hall of fame during 2012 Homecoming/Family Weekend festivities. Longtime athletic director Kathy Feldman, basketball player Larry Mulcahy, softball player Jodie Corsi, cross country & track and field athlete David Dominguez, and pole vaulter Kurt Dunn will join the Hall of Fame on October 12th.
