Pioneers Hang Tough but Fall to Rockland

The Alfred State men's basketball team slowed down Rockland CC's high octane offense but the Hawks were able to pull out a 60-51 victory in a 1st round Alfred State Tournament contest.  The Pioneers are now 2-3 on the year. Read Article

The Alfred State women's basketball team lost a back and forth contest 75-71 to Westchester CC in the Alfred State Tournament.  The game featured seven ties and ten lead changes. Read Article

Thone Leads Swimmers at Herkimer

Danielle Thone (Wappingers Falls/Roy Ketcham) won three events to lead the Alfred State swim team at the Herkimer CCC Fall Invitational. The Pioneer men finished 4th while the women finished 5th in the competition. Read Article

Pioneers Even Record

The Alfred State men's basketball team evened up their record with a 61-46 victory over St. John Fisher JV on Thursday evening.  The Pioneers hit seven 3-pointers to key the victory. Read Article

Humphrey Fellows Visit for International Week

Alfred State is celebrating International Week this week and kicked off events on Sunday. Nov. 11, with discussions led by a group of visiting Humphrey Fellows on topics that ranged from living in Africa today to arranged marriages, and clean-up work on the Ganges River in India. Read Article

Swimmers Compete at Monroe Double Dual

For the second week in a row the Alfred State men's swimming team split a WNYAC double dual match. The Pioneers defeated Mercyhurst North East 89-31 but fell 117-46 to Monroe CC. In the women's competition, Alfred fell 113-28 to Monroe and 68-46 to Mercyhurst NE. Read Article
