Alfred State’s Day of Giving raises more than $150,000

As of the time this article was written, 954 donors had contributed a total of $152,788 in cash and pledges, with donations still coming in online and through the mail. The funds that were not restricted to a certain area will be used to support the greatest needs of the college, primarily scholarships, new programming, updated technology, and athletic programs. Alfred State Professor Torpey completes NYC Marathon

An associate professor in the Computer and Information Technology Department, Torpey ran in the NYC Marathon for the first time. After 3 hours, 35 minutes, and 38 seconds, he crossed the finish line, averaging an impressive 8:14 per mile or 7.2 mph. Read Article
