Women finish 5th, Men 6th at Nationals

Najia McGee (Rochester/Edison) highlighted day three of the NJCAA Division III National Championships with two individual titles and one relay title as the Alfred State College women's track & field team finished 5th out of 17 teams. Hector Cuero (Middletown), Andrew Omoregie (Gates Chili), and Zak Williamson (Rocky Point) ran to 2nd places finishes as the men's team finished 6th out of 22 teams. Read Article

Omoregie and Williamson Earn All-American Honors

Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) and Zak Williamson (Rocky Point) each earned All-American status on day two of the NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The men's team is currently in 5th place out of 17 teams that have scored while the women are in 8th out of 14 teams that have scored. Read Article

Sammons Article Published

Gregory Sammons, chief of police at Alfred State College, recently had an article published in Campus Law Enforcement Journal, March/April 2008 edition. The article, "Do You Need More Officers? A Comprehensive Benchmarking Formula that Can Help You Make the Case," delineates the differences between campus and municipal police forces when determining the need for staffing. Read Article

Women in 4th, Men in 5th after Day One at Nationals

Alfred State College freshman Reaghan Bulkley (Avoca) earned 2nd place in the long jump to highlight day one of the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship.  The women's team has scored 14 points and sits in 4th place while the men have 18 points and are in 5th place. Read Article
