The Alfred State College volleyball team opened up WNYAC play with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 victory over Monroe CC to improve to 10-1 (1-0 WNYAC) on the season. The match was the team's first action at the Orvis Activities Center this season.

Alfred State and Bryant & Stratton battled back and forth for nearly 98 minutes before the Bobcats were able to score in the first overtime to earn a hard fought 1-0 victory. The loss snaps the Pioneers (5-2, 5-1 Region III Division III) four-game winning streak while Bryant & Stratton, a NJCAA Division I program, improve to 4-1 on the season.
