The Alfred State College men's basketball team returned to action after over a month off and fell 66-50 in their 2011 and WNYAC opener.  ASC led 25-24 at half but was unable to hold the lead.  The Pioneers are now 3-10 on the season. Read Article

The Alfred State College women's basketball team could not rally all the way back and fell 64-51 to Jamestown CC in their Western New York Athletic Conference opener.  ASC is now 10-6 on the year while JCC, ranked #17 in Division II of the NJCAA, improves to 16-3. Read Article

Taylor and Johnson named All-American

Alfred State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) and freshman punter Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named to the NJCAA All-American team.  This is the third time in Coach Mick Caba’s tenure that two players have been named All-American in the same year. The Alfred State College wrestling team went 1-2 at the ASC Duals on Saturday to close out the 2010 portion of their schedule.  The Pioneers are now 2-6 in dual matches on the year. Read Article

Swim Team Competes at Monroe

The Alfred State College swimming team wrapped up the 2010 portion of their season with a WNYAC dual at Monroe CC.  The Pioneer men fell 115-83 while the women fell 99-53 to the Region III power. Read Article

Pioneers Win in Final Second

Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) followed up a missed lay-up with 0.8 seconds remaining to lift the Alfred State College men's basketball team to a 68-67 victory over CC of Beaver County on Tuesday evening. Read Article
