Lady Pioneers open up 2012 with Win

The Alfred State College women's basketball team got back on the court for the first time in over a month with a 64-46 victory at Pitt-Titusville on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-4 on the season heading into their WNYAC opener on Saturday. Read Article

2nd Half Rally Falls Short

The Alfred State College men's basketball team trailed by as many as 11 in the 2nd half but rallied to cut the lead to two points in the final minute but could fully overcome the deficit.  JCC-Olean earned the 72-68 victory in the WNYAC opener for the Pioneers. Read Article

Indoor Track Opens Season at RIT

The Alfred State College indoor track & field opened up their 2012 season with a strong showing at the RIT Tiger Invitational.  David Miller (Elmira Southside) highlighted the day by qualifying for the NJCAA National Championship in the pole vault. Read Article

Men's Swim Team Wins Herkimer Title

The Alfred State College men's swimming team dove into the 2012 portion of their season with a 1st place finish at the Herkimer CCC January Sprint Invitational.  The Pioneers scored 216 points to win the event. Read Article

Sophomore basketball player Pat Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) and freshman wrestler Zach Race (Fulton/G Ray Bodley) have been named the ASC Athletes of the Week by the SID office. Read Article

Pioneers Down Cobleskill and Stevens Tech on the Mat

The Alfred State College wrestling team won both of their matches at the ASC Dual event on Saturday.  The Pioneers evened their record at 3-3 on the year with a 52-6 victory over the SUNY Cobleskill Club team and a 30-19 win over Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Read Article

The Alfred State College wrestling team was doubled up by Niagara CCC 30-15 in a WNYAC dual match on Friday evening.  The Pioneers fall to 1-3 on the season heading into tomorrow's ASC Duals. Read Article

The Alfred State College women's basketball team defeated University of Rochester JV 60-53 to improve to 8-4 as they wrap up the 2011 portion of the season. Read Article

Parker Nets 31 in loss at CC of Beaver County

Patrick Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) netted a game-high 31 points but it wasn't enough as #20 CC of Beaver County earned a 99-87 victory over Alfred State.  The Pioneers end the 2011 portion of their season with a 5-8 mark while CCBC improves to 9-1. Read Article
