Pizza Pioneer opens on campus

Pizza and college students go together like the sun and the moon, and Alfred State College’s new Pizza Pioneer dining location officially opened with a galaxy of rave reviews. The new dining hot-spot is located at 10 Elm, which is also home to Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Service’s (ACES) Fresh Market and Café.  Read Article

Ferreri, an architecture major from Marion, will join Professor William C. Dean, RA, AIA, the department’s faculty architect licensing advisor, in providing information and guidance on experience and registration to the department’s 170 architecture students. Read Article

Stephen Crouch, an officer with the University Police Department at Alfred State College, recently graduated from the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy’s Basic Course for Police. Read Article

Sport management students partner with Rochester Red Wings for capstone project

In addition to becoming immersed in cutting-edge sport management research while creating a review of literature, the senior capstone class is designed for Alfred State sport management to work closely with a local sport organization to address problems and concerns through research-based recommendations and solutions. ASC’s Jeffrey Stevens assists with solar training in Nigeria

For two weeks, Stevens trained installers in Abuja, Nigeria on photovoltaic systems. Though the original plan was to train 20 people, the project was expanded, and a total of 53 participants were trained. Read Article
