Alfred State’s Relay for Life raises more than $11,000

According to Coordinator of Student Activities Brittany Richards, the Relay for Life club adviser, the 2019 Relay for Life was a great success, as the 16 participating teams raised $11,003, which surpassed the Relay committee’s goal of $10,000. Read Article

Jeffrey Stevens named new dean of Wellsville campus

Stevens has been an Alfred State employee since 2002, when he was hired as an instructor in the Electrical Trades Department. He was later promoted to assistant professor, then associate professor. Read Article

According to the photographer, Kyle Reynolds, “It’s Out There” includes a sampling of the wide-ranging subjects he has photographed over the past decade. Subjects include local shelter dogs, wildlife, plant life, and photography captured while trail running. Read Article

Attendance blooms at spring career fairs

A total of 105 employers were on-hand for the 2019 Alfred campus career fair, compared to 92 employers in the spring of 2018, and 73 employers in 2017. As for the Wellsville campus’ spring career fair, 91 employers attended in 2019, compared to 80 in 2018 and 68 in 2017. Read Article
