Alfred State alum, Paychex founder Tom Golisano authors new book

An entrepreneur, philanthropist, and civic leader, Golisano graduated from Alfred State in 1962 with a degree in general business management. In 1971, he founded Paychex, a leading national provider of payroll, human resource, and benefit outsourcing solutions for more than a half-million small and medium-sized businesses. Read Article

Pioneer Pub Reopens for ASC Reunion Weekend

On Saturday from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. the Pioneer Pub will once again be open for drinks, dancing, and food as alumni and friends gather to celebrate Alfred State and share memories of their time at the college. The event includes a DJ, snacks, and a cash bar. Admission is $10 per person. Read Article

Steven Elwell has come a long way since graduating from Alfred State College with a degree in financial planning in 2007. Originally starting as an intern, Elwell has since worked his way up at Level Financial Advisors to become the company’s chief investment officer (CIO).  Read Article

Alfred State’s Day of Giving raises more than $150,000

As of the time this article was written, 954 donors had contributed a total of $152,788 in cash and pledges, with donations still coming in online and through the mail. The funds that were not restricted to a certain area will be used to support the greatest needs of the college, primarily scholarships, new programming, updated technology, and athletic programs.
