The University Police Department can assist motorists in the event that you lock your keys in your vehicle. You will need to provide your Alfred State College ID, or your valid driver’s license, vehicle information, and cell phone number.
Officers are not able to jumpstart vehicles. However, the University Police Department can provide, for use by the campus community and visitors, a portable vehicle jump starter. The portable unit alleviates the need for a second vehicle. It also offers safeguards in the process of dealing with a vehicle’s dead battery. To use this unit, please come directly to University Police in the TG House. The jump starter will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will need to provide your Alfred State College ID, or your valid driver’s license, and cell phone number. If you are on the Wellsville campus, there is a portable jump starter available for sign out at the Zero Energy Home. Please do not hesitate to ask should you need further assistance using the jump starter.
